Compulsary bachelor courses in probability and statistics
Course Contents
Modeling survival data, analyzing noncensored survival data, (Cox-) regression, indirect problems and censoring mechanisms, right censoring, current durations model, interval censoring model.
Study Goals
De student is aquainted with basic concepts from probability theory and statistics within the area of survival analysis, with non-parametric methods for estimating survival probabilities, such as the Kaplan-Meier estimator, and with Cox's proportional hazards model.
Furthermore the student is capable to perform a statistical analysis with the statistical package R for time to event data under censoring.
