1. Understanding the origin/derivation of Maxwell's equations, potentials and electromagnetic waves.
2. Solving elementary problems in electrostatics, magnetostatics and electrodynamics.
Study Goals

Education Method
Three times per weel 1 hour lecture followed by 2 hours of self-study/exercises/instruction. In addition, three or four intermediate tests are offered.
Literature and Study Materials
Introduction to electrodynamics, by Griffiths, Chapters 1-7, parts of chapters 8,9, and 10.
Assessment
Written (optional) test every two weeks, and final written exam
